Synopsis
Uzma Ahmed arrives at the Indian Embassy in Pakistan, pleading for help and identifying herself as an Indian citizen. She reveals that her husband, Tahir, has been subjecting her to severe mental and physical abuse. Initially, the embassy staff suspects her of being a terrorist or an ISI agent. However, after verifying her identity and passport, they realize her claims are genuine. Indian diplomat JP Singh offers her refuge within the embassy. Meanwhile, Tahir accuses the embassy of detaining Uzma against her will, tarnishing India’s image on foreign soil. To counter these allegations, JP urges Uzma to publicly share the truth about her ordeal. As Uzma recounts being deceived, taken to Pakistan under false pretenses, and forced into an abusive marriage, JP is left with only three weeks to seek justice for her—before her visa expires, after which even the embassy cannot legally offer her protection.
